Antidepressant Withdrawal Coaching & Support with Baylissa Frederick

Antidepressant withdrawal can affect far more than mood. People may experience distressing physical, cognitive, sensory and emotional symptoms that feel unfamiliar, frightening or difficult to explain.
Since March 2006, I have supported thousands of people affected by antidepressant and other prescribed-drug withdrawal. I offer compassionate, non-medical coaching to help you understand your experience, cope with difficult periods and maintain hope during recovery.
How I can support you
Coaching sessions may help with:
- coping with intense or changing symptoms
- organic fear, agitation and emotional overwhelm
- waves, windows and fluctuations in symptoms
- uncertainty about healing and recovery
- communicating with family members and supporters
- maintaining routines and managing everyday demands
- rebuilding trust in yourself and your capacity to heal
You do not have to minimise your experience or repeatedly explain why it feels so difficult. Our conversations provide a place where your experience can be acknowledged with understanding and perspective.
What withdrawal coaching does not include
I do not provide tapering schedules, medication recommendations, diagnosis or medical treatment. I will not advise you to begin, stop or change any medication.
Decisions about medication should be discussed with your doctor, prescriber or an appropriately qualified tapering specialist. My role focuses on coping, emotional support and navigating daily life while healing.
Families, supporters and professionals
Support is also available for family members and others who want to understand antidepressant withdrawal and provide more informed care.
I provide training for counsellors, coaches and other professionals who work with people affected by prescribed-drug withdrawal and injury. Training is available through Bay Training Hub.
Private coaching sessions take place by telephone and are available internationally.
