Prescribed Drug Withdrawal Coaching and Support

Withdrawal from prescribed medication can be physically and emotionally demanding. Symptoms may affect daily functioning, relationships, confidence and the ability to feel safe within your own body.

Since March 2006, I have supported thousands of people worldwide who are affected by withdrawal from prescribed drugs, including:

  • benzodiazepines
  • antidepressants
  • Z-drugs
  • gabapentinoids
  • opioids

I offer compassionate, non-medical coaching, emotional support and coping guidance throughout the withdrawal, post-acute and healing processes.

Withdrawal coaching with Baylissa

Coaching can provide a steady and informed place to explore what you are experiencing. Sessions may focus on coping with difficult symptoms, navigating periods of intensity, managing organic fear and uncertainty, supporting relationships and rebuilding confidence.

My approach recognises that withdrawal symptoms can have a powerful neurological and physiological component. Your distress will not be attributed to ordinary anxiety, negative thinking or a lack of effort.

Professional boundaries

I do not provide tapering schedules, medication advice, diagnosis or medical treatment. I will not advise you to begin, stop or alter medication.

Medication decisions should be discussed with your doctor, prescriber or an appropriately qualified tapering specialist. My role is to support coping, emotional wellbeing and everyday life while healing.

Support for families and professionals

I also support family members, supporters and professionals who want to understand prescribed-drug withdrawal and respond with greater awareness and compassion.

Bay Training Hub provides courses for counsellors, coaches and other professionals, family members and others who support people affected by prescribed-drug withdrawal and injury.

Finding the right support

Private, confidential coaching sessions take place by telephone and Zoom and are available internationally. Healing Bravehearts also provides ongoing encouragement, educational resources, meditations, webinars and a supportive membership community.
