Dear Bravehearts,

You have all been in my thoughts, and I wanted to share a few words of encouragement that I hope will bring a little comfort to your heart and mind, wherever you are today.

If you have been feeling weary, overwhelmed, discouraged, or frustrated by the pace of your progress lately, I am so sorry. These stretches can feel incredibly difficult.

When you are in the thick of a hard season, when your nervous system feels stretched to its limits or the days seem relentlessly heavy, it is so easy to wonder what is happening. It is easy to become frustrated, to question your progress, or to feel as though you should be further along than you are.

Please be gentle with yourself and with the process.

What you are feeling today does not tell you the whole story of your healing. Your body is continually adapting, recalibrating, repairing, and working towards balance, even during the times when progress feels slow or impossible to see.

Three Small Anchors for Today

When the road feels long and the noise inside or around you becomes loud, try returning to these simple truths:

Gentleness Over Judgment

You cannot criticise yourself into healing. When physical discomfort or emotional distress peaks, try speaking to yourself with the same tenderness you would offer a dear friend or a beloved child. You are already carrying enough. You do not need to add self-judgment to the weight of the day.

One Moment at a Time

You do not have to figure out next week, next month, or even tomorrow. You only need to meet the moment you are in. Feel your feet on the ground, come back to what is immediately in front of you, and take the next small, kind step. Then the next.

There is no need to carry the whole journey at once.

Trust the Unseen Work

Healing is often subtle. It does not always announce itself with dramatic changes or obvious milestones. Sometimes it is happening quietly, beneath the surface, long before you are able to recognise the difference.

A difficult day does not mean that nothing is changing. A wave does not erase the healing that has already taken place. Your body and mind can still be rebuilding resilience, restoring balance, and finding their way forward even when you cannot yet feel it.

Every day you endure matters. Every moment you keep going matters.

You Are Not Alone

Even on the days when it feels as though you are walking this path by yourself, please remember that you are part of a compassionate community walking alongside you.

There are others who understand the courage it takes simply to get through an hour, an afternoon, or a difficult night. There are others who have known the fear of wondering whether things will ever change and who have gone on to discover that they did.

So be especially gentle with yourself today.

Nurture yourself in whatever small ways are possible. Acknowledge the strength it has taken to come this far. Give yourself credit for every day you have kept going, including the days when keeping going was the only thing you could do.

You do not need to be fearless. You only need to keep going.

And on the hard days, that is more than enough.

With much compassion,
